Our client has a full time, direct hire position available for an experienced Composite Technician. The role of Composite Technician performs a variety of tasks related to manufacturing composite parts.
Fabricate composite moulds and parts as per instructions/drawings
Lay-up, demould, vacuum bag, and infuse composite parts as per instructions/drawings
Polish, deburr, and grind composites parts as per instructions/drawings
Drill, ream, and countersink
Assemble parts/components/sub-assemblies using special jigs and fixtures
Verify products meet quality standards as outlined
Perform general equipment maintenance, including checking all equipment at the start of each shift
Completion of Aviation Structures, Aviation Technician, or related program where you have worked with composite material/fabricating parts
In absence of college program, completion of High School with previous composites experience
Excellent manual dexterity
Knowledge of different machinery, its usage, that includes Milling Machine, Lathes, Drilling Machine, Band Saw, Grinders, and various other hand tools
Knowledge of measuring instruments, its proper and accurate usage, which includes gauges, callipers, etc.
Communication: Speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner.
Accountability: Take responsibility for workmanship and productivity.
Teamwork: Work with other people with cooperation and as a good team member, and respect each team member's individual rights
